You can buy souvenirs in the Mercator shop in the centre of Ankaran and postcards can be found at the nearby post office.

You can buy summer essentials at the stalls located near the Agraria shop by the beach at Camp Adria, and some of them can also be found at the Mercator shop.

Yes, the market is located in the centre of Ankaran and is open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

You can buy homemade wine and oil at the market in the centre of Ankaran, or call your local provider to arrange a purchase. You can find a list of local providers under the “Things to do” tab and then“Local Flavors”.

The Debeli Rtič Landscape Park offers 3 recreational trails of varying difficulty and length. Under the “Things to do” tab and then “Let's get moving“ you can find out more about strength and endurance tests to help you choose the best route for your fitness level. The park also has two nature trails, namely the marine and panoramic trails. Both routes are circular, easy and lead through points of special interest marked on the map within an hour's walk. The educational trails pass through vineyard areas where agricultural machinery is used and agrotechnical work is carried out, so please be careful.

Access for people with reduced mobility is available on the following beaches: Adria Ankaran – including the swimming pool, Youth Spa and Resort Debeli Rtič, and Debeli Rtič Beach.

Dogs are allowed to swim on the Sv. Jernej Beach and on a part of the beach within the Adria Ankaran complex.

Ankaran has 6 beaches; Valdoltra, Debeli rtič, Študent, Adria Ankaran, RKS Debeli rtič sanatorium and Sv. Jernej.

The Ankaran peninsula offers a wealth of natural and cultural attractions, such as the Mediterranean salty meadow, shells’ cemetery, the Monastery of St Nicholas, and many more. You can find out more about the attractions under the tab “Things to see”.

The boat picks up in Ankaran at the pier in Valdoltra. Reservations are not possible.

Ankaran is accessible by bus from nearby Koper, which can also be reached by train. In summer, you can also reach Ankaran from the major coastal cities by boat (Koper, Izola, Piran).

Parking for camper vans is available at Camp Adria.

You can park in the following car parks: ŠRP Sv. Katarina, Ankaran – centre, Valdoltra – east, Debeli rtič Landscape Park – bathing area parking lot Debeli Rtič Landscape Park – central car park and Lazaret. During the summer months, a monthly season ticket is available for purchase at the TIC and is valid at all car parks, except the Debeli Rtič Landscape Park – bathing area parking lot.
