Tourist tax is an overnight accommodation fee, which includes some free services and benefits for the visitors.
The taxpayers of the tourist tax are all visitors of the Ankaran Municipality who spend the night in accommodation facilities. Besides the tourist tax, the visitors pay also the promotion tax in the amount of 25 per cent of the tourist tax.
For visitors staying in accommodation facilities within the area of the Municipality of Ankaran, the fees are as follows:
• Full tourist and promotion tax: EUR 2.50 per person / per night.
• Half tourist and promotion tax: EUR 1.25 per person / per night.
Holiday homes and flat’s owners pay a flat fee.
